A Dental Team You Can’t Beat

I grew up in a household that didn’t think twice about eating lots of candy. Dad would give me a dollar to go to the local candy store, and I would spend the whole dollar. Pretty scary when you realize I grew up in the days when you could buy two pieces of candy for a penny!

I was fortunate; my parents believed in going to the dentist. When I was only 7 years old, my dentist spent so much time filling cavities for me he talked me into going into a career in dentistry. It’s been a rewarding career spanning over 46 years. I worked as a dental assistant, a dental hygienist and now have found another niche managing our office, our computers, and sharing my wisdom regarding insurance plans for our patients.

Fun Fact: I once went to a log building school, Minnesota Trailbound. I became very adept at using a chainsaw. We built a cabin on site at the camp in Ely…we put up a record-breaking 27 logs in one day!

Julie is from Saginaw, Michigan, and has been on our team for over 5 years. She is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College’s Dental Assisting program. She has over 25 years of assisting experience and 3 years of experience as a Dental Office Manager. She has a passion for dentistry and loves her work. She has been married to her husband Bart for 20 years and has 2 children, Addie, and Adam.

Fun Fact: Julie has a few passions, but her one love that you might not know about is photography. She loves to take senior pictures in her off time.

Marta is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been with our office since 2014. She got her degree from Lansing Community College, maintaining status on the Dean’s List and President’s List throughout the duration of her schooling. Marta is Nitrous Oxide Certified, State of Michigan Radiograph Certified, CPR Certified and licensed in Local Anesthesia.

She and her husband Jeff, live in Okemos with their daughter Nya, and twin boys, Liam and Nolan. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, yoga and crossword puzzles.

Fun Fact: Marta is a lover of creatures big and small, and is always willing to go out of her way to save an injured animal.

Beth is one of our Registered Dental Assistants, a 1989 graduate of Ross Medical Education Center, and was valedictorian of her class. After working in the dental field for 15 years she attended Washtenaw Community College and obtained her Registered Dental Assistant License through the State of Michigan. She has State of Michigan certifications in exposing radiographs and administering Nitrous Oxide. She has 20 years’ experience in a cosmetic practice, as well as 10 years in pediatric dentistry.

Beth’s goal is building trust with a patient to make every experience as comfortable as possible.
Beth resides in Laingsburg with her husband Kevin. She has two sons Nathan and Randon, two daughter in laws Stephanie and Mereta, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In her spare time, she enjoys physical fitness, boating, reading, and spending time with her family.

Fun Fact: Beth grew up on a Sod Farm in Lansing, and during the summers, she would mow fields, load sod, pick up rocks, and help with irrigation pipe set up.

Anush has been part of our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2006. She joined Lansing Community College Dental Hygiene Program as an Associate Professor in 2007. Anush enjoys teaching and practicing the Art of Dental Hygiene. She also holds degrees in Preventive Medicine and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Anush and her husband reside in Haslett along with their two children.

Fun Fact: At times you may catch a slight mix of accents as English is her third language, while Armenian and Russian are first and second.
